Hello Hotel Pillow!

Cooling off and having fun
(Interesting that they made such a nice semi-circle in mid air)

Life doesn't seem fair sometimes

This is what happens when you sleep when you aren't supposed to... take a run

Texas, you don't what you let in!

Aaron. Nuff said.

Just like that, day one of pbc 2010 is gone. The day is just about done on the clock here in Denton, and I'm thinking about how awesome it is that right now we have teens and leaders scattered across four states. Some sleeping soundly in their hotel bed, and others catching the last of the light of day; but all away from their homes and families to work for the Kingdom of God. What great things He has for us!
The Dentonators started early and ended late, as expected. In the van, I asked how much sleep everyone got last night and the grand total between the ten of us was 17 1/2 hours; which averages out to about 1 hour and 45 minutes a person. So we were rolling on adrenaline all day, which made things exciting between the stories, lunch next to the zoo, alphabet game, random trivia, and so on. The only thing that wasn't exciting was when everyone was sleeping but me! But, such is the life of a driver. We are looking foward to tomorrow and getting to work (after some sweet sleep, of course).
Thank you Ms. Rachel for the lunches today. You are awesome, and so was your pico de gallo!

  5. Right you are Rachelle, not to long ago at all. I remember very well sleeping in the van during all those trips. The thought never once crossed my mind that my driver probably would like sleep too!

  6. Loved the pictures. Doesn't surprise me at all that you had to run for falling asleep, Blake! Hershey is enjoying having his own room. And I miss you, of course. Love you, have a good time, be safe, and behave yourself. Mom
